After being vacant for nearly 18 months, the former Tony Caputo’s Market/Deli on the corner of 314 West and 300 South is being remodeled to house the incoming Veloce Deli. The deli will sport a similar style and atmosphere made popular by the previous establishment. However, customers will enjoy a few more options with the new store.
The Veloce Deli will continue to offer the variety of fresh salads, sandwiches, and pastas. The additional features include a pizza oven, a fire pit, gelato, and a wide selection of pre-packaged items. The deli also includes a sitting area and will be open in the afternoon and evenings to accommodate both lunch and dinner customers.
The Veloce Deli is part of a collective endeavor to revitalize the section of downtown Salt Lake along 300 west. This area has experienced significant growth and development in both residential and business establishments. The new owners of the property plan to provide a quality deli/market venue within walking distance for the local residents as well as commuters.
