In 2005, construction started on the monster house at 678 North H Street in the Avenues. Over the next year, and against the wishes of many neighbors, the home grew and grew. In 2006 construction stopped, and the partially-finished home went on the market. For the next four years the exterior shell of the 16,000 sf structure was the blight of H Street.
For every problem, there’s a solution. For Ken Milo, who now owns the property, the solution was to remove the center of the structure and divide it into three luxury condominiums. The development, now called Maple Heights, has been reconfigured in a timeless style by Allen-Millo Architects (Broadway Park Lofts, Uffens Marketplace). The condos feature open living spaces, spa-like baths, attached garages, heated driveways and walkways, private elevators, and rooftop patios that take full advantage of the mountain, valley, and city views.
