Dig of the Day: Birthplace of Spencer W. Kimball

Andrew Kimball, father of LDS Church president Spencer W. Kimball, built this home at 376 W 500 N in 1887. A 1888 journal entry by Andrew reads “We moved into our new house. All is well and prospering. New home dedicated by Joseph F. Smith; cost of home $1500.”

Over the last several months the home has been completely renovated by Icon Homes, an Energy Star builder. As part of the renovation the home received a new roof, all new plumbing, new HVAC and ducting, low-E windows, drywall, bamboo flooring, a new Ikea kitchen, and travertine baths.

For $249,900 you’ll get 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in 1892 sf on .18 acres.
